Solar lights work without sunlight by using mirrors, artificial lights. Well, there are many ways to charge solar powered outdoor lights. I have implemented various methods. Today, I am going to tell you six ways for recharging solar batteries without sunlight.
Table of Contents
Using Regular Battery
You can use a regular non-rechargeable battery instead of a solar battery. It is not a permanent solution. In my case, I had used it when I had to replace the solar battery. I used it for a couple of days. Please note that it is only for urgent purposes.
Use of Mirrors
This is a very interesting way to charge the battery. You can use mirrors and reflect the sunlight on the panel. Please note that the mirror should be double the size of the solar panel. I have done it quite a few times, and it works like magic. You can try6 this in winter and cloudy weather.
Clean Panels
Please make sure the panels are clean to get direct sunlight. Please utilize a scrub and water to clean it. Do not use detergent. I would recommend cleaning it once or twice a week.
Light Background
Please use light colors as the background so that it reflects the light properly. I utilize a light color background for all of these methods.
Artificial Lights
You can use artificial or LED lights to charge the product in the absence of sunlight. Please charge it with sunlight; it’s the first priority. However, in winter or cloudy weather, you can charge solar lights inside of your room. It works well but takes longer (approx. 12-16 hours) to get fully charged.
Incandescent Bulbs
You can utilize this outside of your house. Many times, I used the streetlight to charge my solar light. It does not work well. Therefore, I recommend you select the previous method instead of it.
I have noticed that if I set it closer to artificial lights, the product charges much faster than keeping it on the floor.
