Normal AA batteries can only deliver power to the solar lights for a short period. 

THEY CANNOT PERFORM EFFICIENTLY FOR A LONG TIME LIKE SOLAR BATTERIES.

If you use normal AA batteries in your solar lanterns,  they can harm the different elements of your lights 

if you use regular batteries on your solar lights, they can instantly reduce the charge and weaken the units.

Normal batteries are not made for solar lamps as they need to be thrown away when they run out of charge.
